The Parisian Jupiter – A welcome addition to the North County Dining Scene

Marty, Tony and I had dinner at The Parisian Jupiter last night and it is very good. It is located in the south end of the Mall east of Harborside where the new Cinepolis Movie Theater recently opened. The Parisian is open for lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday. 561-360-2224.

I am a sucker for a great Terrine of Foie Gras and the Parisian did not disappoint. Had I have known how rich and elegant it was going to be I would have ordered one as an appetizer and a second one after the appetizer and before the Crepe Suzette and Decaf Cap.

The owner used to be involved with Cafe Des Artiste and knows the score in Bistro dining. The Parisian is located where Savannah’s used to be and they did a wonderful job with the build out. It is smallish – seating 60 – and has an Urban Classical Style.

We enjoyed the Foie Gras, Duck Confit and the Crepes Suzette. They offer a wide range of coffees and a modest, but pleasant wine list. At present they do not serve cocktails. You may bring your own wine for a corkage fee of $25. This may cover the evening for a four top but I would ask just to be sure.

Like any relatively new restaurant on a packed Saturday night at 7:00 the service was good but can and will be better I am sure. The bartender is a very friendly guy as is the owner.

We enjoyed the evening very much and when the bill came – with a 20% tip it was $110 per person. It was worth it but takes it out of the realm of let’s stop by every week for Foie Gras and Champagne.

Bon Appetite!
