Tonight Saint Marty prepared a lovely Salmon Filet with a side of cream corn and we had a bottle of Franciscan Cuvee’ Sauvage Chardonnay Carneros, Napa Valley 2006. We shared the evening’s preparation chores: Marty made all the food – I opened the wine and found a movie on Comcast we had wanted to see – Midnight in Paris.
Marty wanted us to see it when it was in the theater but I couldn’t get past my personal feelings about Woody Allen so we never went. Once again my personal prejudices got in the way of agreeing with Marty and what would have been an excellent decision.
Unlike most of my Uncle Larry movie reviews I’m not going to say a thing about Midnight in Paris except this – if you haven’t seen it find someone you love, open a good bottle of wine and enjoy a charming, reflective, whimsical and most entertaining ninety-four minutes.
Much love to you all!
Uncle Larry and Saint Marty
PS Did I mention that we went to France for our 25th – a mere 19 years ago – and loved it.
Larry-
Such a good wife and life.
Is Tony on board when he pulls the lever on Nov 6th?
