How much more does the DNC need to do to proclaim themselves Anti-Christian?

Are the Democrats proclaiming themselves as “anti-Christian?” I did not say they are but consider these two events from yesterday. First I read on Fox News that the people on the floor of the Democratic National Convention booed loudly when it was announced that the name of God was going to be added to the Democratic Plank.

Now I see a report on the local NBC affiliate (see attached) that the Chairman of the Palm Beach Democratic Party – Alan Siegel – says that he is no fan of Christians. He went on the say that Evangelical Christians are no friend to the Jew. He thinks that Christians want Jews slaughtered so it can bring the return of the Lord Jesus.
I don’t know what he’s been smoking but 100% of the Evangelical, Bible Believing Christians I know and go to Church with are 100% supportive of Israel as a nation. We consider The Jew to be Chosen by God and are special to Him.

By way of review the people in attendance at the convention “boo” the mention of God and the Chairman of the Palm Beach County Democratic Party says all Evangelical Christians want to do is slaughter Jews. Is it unreasonable to conclude that some in the Democratic Party, perhaps many, have turned their backs on God and have gone their own way? Here’s the site if you want to read it yourself. It’s also all over Google.

It’s my perception, therefore my reality – there has never been a greater gulf between the Democratic and Republican Parties. Many say it’s because of fiscal and tax policy. That may be true but the gap between the two parties regarding Christianity and Biblical values has widened to Grand Canyon width – without the Republicans changing a thing.

In closing it seems to me that our only hope is for people of faith – both Jews and Christians alike to follow the admonition God gave the writer of Chronicles in the Old Testament: 2 Chronicles 7:14 – If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Here are a few verses from Scripture for your consideration:

Galatians 6:7 – “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.”

2 Peter 3:9 – “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but slow to anger.”

Larry, I heard the tape of the official action of the Democratic Party when the resolution to add a reference to God (note not Jesus) and to Jerusalem as the capital of Israel within the Party Platform. The No’s were equally as loud as the Yes’s but the chair declared that it passed by a 2/3rds majority. Your observation about how far the Democratic Party has moved beyond the main stream of American religious life is amazing. Michele Obama talked about gays being able to go to the “altar” to marry the one they love. Insinuating that gay marriage would be blessed by the church… It is troubling that a major party would come to this place. Don Bray Pastor 561.799.7600 goChristFellowship.com
