Opening this youtube site will get you in the mood to celebrate and appreciate America. It’s The Star Spangled Banner sang acapella by the Worship Pastors at Christ Fellowship. Marty and I were both moved to tears in the service Sunday and were so glad to see the Church get it up on youtube today.
We have a lot of problems and issues with our economy, our Government and our present administration in particular – but there is no place else I would want to live than right here in the good old USA. We are proud to be citizens of this great land and we appreciate the sacrifices that have been made these last 236 years that started with the Pilgrims, the Founding Fathers, the brave men who against all odds repelled the British and all those who have sacrificed, served, fought and died to make the life we live and the freedoms we enjoy possible.
We aren’t a perfect people and we have made some serious mistakes in the past few decades in the name of being “tolerant.” Allowing our Courts and our Federal Government to take God out of our legal system and our schools has come with a heavy price. However, I still believe that America is a Christian Nation and as it is written in II Chronicles 7:14 – “If my people who are called by My Name will humble themselves – and pray – and seek My Face – and turn from their wicked ways – then I will hear from heaven – and will forgive their sin – and will heal their land.”
When you get a chance click on this youtube site and listen to The Star Spangled banner. If The Spirit moves you reflect on who we once were and join us as we consider how we should humbles ourself and pray and seek God’s face – asking for His forgiveness and expect great things as He heals our land – The United States of America.
Uncle Larry
Nice rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. The Pilgrims arrived around 1620 …..392 years ago.
We all know that where you live contains a brave soul and a Saint.
Happy 4th of July
Should I assume that Saint Marty is both the brave soul and a Saint? Have a great 4th in NC!
Wow! If they could only play that video at every football game and baseball game. So many people butcher the song. They were fabulous.
Agreed it is a wonderful country still, but due to our backs being turned on The Lord, the changes we have lived to see are not good.
But, GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY and all those who served to help give us what so many now take for granted and or hate. We all just need to stop three or four times a day and Pray II Chronicles 7:14.
Thank you for always reminding us. I think the Lord will say, “well done good and faithful servant” when you meet Him face to face.
Happy 4th to you and Marty.
WoW Uncle Larry they sound awesome!
