How long will we trust and stay in Afghanistan?

News Alert from The Wall Street Journal – Two high-ranking North Atlantic Treaty Organization advisers were killed Saturday during a clash with an Afghan police officer in a highly secure command center at Afghanistan’s Interior Ministry, according to Afghan and Western officials.

A NATO colonel and major were shot in the head by an Afghan policeman who was upset about the burning of Qurans earlier this week at a U.S. military base, according to one Western official in Kabul.

Didn’t our President’s apology go a long way towards having the effect of calming the Muslim Extremist in Afghanistan – and we’re not even at war with them. There is no apologizing to this element of society. They do not appreciate it nor do they respect it. As I’ve said before Muslim Extremist see our President’s apology as a sign of weakness and it emboldens them even more – to walk right in to a “highly secure command center at Afghanistan’s Interior Ministry” and kill two members of NATO.

Will someone please remind me again of what we are doing in Afghanistan? Are we going to have the same great success we had in Iraq. Look how calm and peaceful their lives are since we left.
